Due to the persistent wet weather conditions we have been experiencing, we have had to make the difficult decision to temporarily close our grass pitches for tents for arrivals 28th–31st March. Upon careful assessment, it has become evident that the ground remains too saturated for us to proceed with our plans as initially intended.

We had been hopeful that the weather would take a turn for the better this week, but unfortunately, the forecast for the coming days does not look promising. We had hoped that the situation would improve, but regrettably, it seems that we are still facing challenges beyond our control. We understand that this news may be disappointing and disruptive to your plans, and for that, we sincerely apologise.

However, in light of these circumstances, we want to assure you that we are here to support you in any way we can. As such, we are more than happy to offer you the flexibility to reschedule your dates with us and as a token of our appreciation for your understanding, we would like to extend a complimentary weekend stay*.

During Easter weekend, there are some specific restrictions in place which we hope you will understand are necessary given the circumstances:
• Unfortunately, we will be unable to accept tents or allow awnings on-site during this period.
• Motorhomes exceeding 25ft will also not be permitted on grass and where we have availability will need to upgrade to hardstanding.
• Additionally, we kindly request that you park your caravan facing the road, as indicated in the provided diagram:

Cars must be parked sideways, with two wheels on the grass, and two on the road. Motorhomes must have front wheels on the road and caravans must have the front axle on the road also. Please note you may need a longer electrical cable (up to 10m) as you will be parked further away than usual.

We understand that this situation may be challenging, but we kindly ask for your support in considering rescheduling your dates instead of opting for a cancellation. Your continued support would mean a great deal to us and would help us navigate through these unforeseen circumstances more effectively.

Please let us know how you would like to proceed by choosing from the following options:
• Would you prefer a full refund of your reservation?
• Or would you like to explore the possibility of rescheduling your dates to a future time, thus supporting our park during this challenging period and receiving a complimentary 2-night break?

Please feel free to reach out to us via email at admin@hru.co.uk to communicate your decision, and rest assured, our team will be available to assist you every step of the way.

Once again, we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment this situation may have caused you.
We truly value your understanding and co-operation and we look forward to the opportunity to welcome you to our park under more favourable circumstances soon.
